Combined shipping with Frogtastic Frogs
17 days ago – Wed, Feb 05, 2025 at 10:09:53 AM

Hi everyone,

I forgot to add this to the campaign page, but we’re offering combined shipping for those of you who back both Birds of Rotterdam and Frogtastic Frogs, our partner project!
Since Appeltjesgroen and I are locals we will meet up and do the bulk of the fulfillment together. When you opt in for combined shipping we will bundle all of your pins into one package and only charge shipping costs on one of the campaigns. Those who opt in will be charged for shipping on Birds of Rotterdam, and will have their shipping fees waived on Frogtastic Frogs.
If you’re interested in combined shipping you’ll be able to let us know during the project surveys!

Thanks again, and have a good day!

New pin designs are done!
19 days ago – Mon, Feb 03, 2025 at 06:27:13 AM

I'm happy to announce the new stretch goals are finished! I really like how they turned out. Is your favorite birdie in here?
We already unlocked the first extra goal, and we're a little under 2k away from the second extra goal. I cannot be happier with how this campaign is going, and I am so grateful for that! <3 Thank you all so much

A small announcement for the handful of people who pledged for the "One of each" tier: I adjusted the tier such that it now specifies that it only contains pins from goal 1 - 13. If you'd like the pins from the extra goals as well, those are now available as an add-on, or you can change your pledge tier to "One of each - Pins only (Goal 1 - 13 + extra goals)" :>

Have a good day everybody!

8 new sketches! Final campaign goals
22 days ago – Fri, Jan 31, 2025 at 06:41:02 AM

Hi everyone!

Here are the finals goals for this campaign sketched out :)

We've already unlocked row 1 containing the osprey, gannet, long tailed tit and hoopoe. And we're pretty close to unlocking row 2, which contains the oystercatcher, rook, bearded reedling and lapwing! I'm pretty happy with these sketches. Only the rook feels a little lacking, so I'll likely redo his sketch sometime this week.
Many of you requested more shorebirds, so row 3 features the godwit, plover, sandpiper & tern. I'm not very used to drawing this type of bird, but I think the sketches turned out pretty good! I'll be taking next week to finalize the sketches, picking some colors & getting their lineart ready for the pin manufacturing process.

Have a good weekend!

25 days ago – Tue, Jan 28, 2025 at 01:13:59 PM

Hi all!

I've decided on some final stretch goals for the campaign. First up is our 20k goal, which as of now is already unlocked!

  • 20k unlocks the osprey, northern gannet, long tailed tit, and hoopoe.

There are two more goals I'd like to offer this campaign. Sketches will be coming soon!

  • 25k unlocks the oystercatcher, bearded reedling, rook, and lapwing.
  • 30k unlocks the tern, godwit, plover, and sandpiper.

That's it for today, I hope you like the new sketches!

All goals unlocked! What's next?

Hi there!

First of all, a big THANK YOU to everyone who supported this campaign so far! I was super happy to see we unlocked ALL stretch goals overnight. I feel humbled by all the nice comments I've gotten on the project, and I'm so happy to see you guys enjoy these designs so much!

With three weeks left to go, I'll probably have some time to doodle a handful of new designs for a final stretch goal. I took some inspiration from the comments on yesterday's update. No worries if your suggested bird isn't in here - I added everything else to my wanna-do list for future projects!

My question to you is, which bird would you still like to see in this project? Personally I'm a fan of the oystercatcher, gannet, and long-tailed tit.

Thank you again for the incredible support, and see you soon in another update!
